We listen to our patients so that we can understand and serve their needs better.

Telling Dr. Kube about your pain will help him find the best treatment. Tell your doctor where, how bad and how often your pain occurs. Also talk about what makes the pain better or worse. Dr. Kube may also ask if you have had any problems with sleep, mood or anxiety. From the moment you step into our office or hear our voice over the telephone, we want you to have a pleasant and welcoming experience. We constantly strive to build a positive experience for every patient at every opportunity.

This is the first step of your journey
It is very important to receive a thorough medical examination that pinpoints the source of your pain as accurately as possible. An assessment is done to determine what might be causing your chronic pain. It could be the result of a condition or syndrome, or a combination of conditions. It is essential for you to understand the various factors contributing to your chronic pain. Chronic pain involves the mind, the body, the emotions and can affect your quality of life. The comprehensive evaluation will pave the road for your pain management journey.

During the physical examination, Dr. Kube will ask you many questions to make a clear, comprehensive assessment. He will listen carefully to everything you can tell him about your pain in order to determine what kind of pain you experience, its location and frequency and what makes it worse. A good evaluation also includes the following:

  • A health history, including a pain chronology and questions about the pain intensity and incapacitation
  • A physical examination, including a general look at the body and examination of painful areas

Good treatment planning can only be based on accurate assessment. Chronic pain is a disease and for its successful management, requires the recognition of a source and, therefore, diagnosis.
